Fashions Next Generation

Hyères Festival 30th edition took place from 23rd to 27th of April. Karl Lagerfeld was the Art Director of this 30th edition. As every year, the 10 selected novel designers were welcomed in February to the Première Vision Paris show. They benefitted from a privileged access to a selection of exhibitors in order to help them manufacture their collections and the results were very impressive.

A partner of the famed Hyères International Festival of Fashion & Photography since 2011, Première Vision, which strengthened its collaboration with the Festival in 2013, will once again this year be presenting the Première Vision Grand Jury Prize. Accompanied by a 15,000€ purse, the prize is independently awarded to the winner of the fashion prize by a special jury which, on this 30th anniversary of the Festival, will be presided over by Virginie Viard, Creative Studio Director of CHANEL, under the exceptional artistic direction of Karl Lagerfeld. The festival is one way Première Vision fulfils its mission to support textile creativity while helping to discover new talents destined to be part of the creative industries of the future. See you at the Villa Noailles next 23 to 27 April! Première Vision’s tangible creative support is implemented both upstream and beyond the dates of the festival itself: For the next edition, candidate companies were rigorously selected by a committee made up of industry professionals according to criteria of creativity, know-how, service quality and financial reliability, criteria that are now harmonised to improve the coherency of the proposed offer. • Supporting the 10 finalists in their creative process: Welcomed last 10, 11 and 12 February to Première Vision Paris – Première Vision Yarns, Première Vision Fabrics, Première Vision Leather and Première Vision Accessories – the young designers were put in direct contact with exhibitors who volunteered their participation. They benefited from a privileged access to products: yarns, fabrics, leathers and accessories. They were also welcomed by select exhibitors at the fashion manufacturing show, Première Vision Manufacturing, to help them manufacture their collections. • Beyond awarding the Grand Prize, a continued collaboration with the winner of the fashion prize: Free access for two years to all the Paris shows and seminars organised by the Première Vision fashion teams, and a presence at Première Vision New York (21 & 22 July) and Première Vision Paris (15 to 17 September), two unique occasions to benefit from a heightened visibility to international professionals and fashion industry players.
